How it works

π is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. e is the base of natural logarithms. The golden ratio φ = (1 + √5)/2 appears in proportions and the limiting ratio of consecutive Fibonacci terms.

What you can do

Choose π, e or φ and request decimal digits. A one-based starting position extracts a specific window from the first 1000 decimal digits. Output is calculated locally and truncated at the requested position.

How to use it

  1. Choose a constant, count and first decimal digit. Start 1 includes the integer part and decimal point; start 2 or later returns only the selected fractional digits.
  2. Calculate, inspect the result details, then copy or download TXT. Ctrl/⌘ + Enter also calculates. Editing clears old results; Undo restores input and settings.

Errors and limits

Count may be 0–1000, and the last requested position cannot exceed 1000. Zero digits at start 1 returns the integer part. These irrational constants have infinitely many non-repeating digits; this tool provides a bounded excerpt, not an exact finite decimal.

Limits: 100,000 input characters per box, 100 digits per numeric token, 200 input values and 200,000 output characters. Fraction numerators and denominators and sequence terms are limited to 5000 digits. Scientific notation is not accepted.

Calculations run in a separate browser worker. Cancel stops the job; the 8-second time limit also covers worker loading. Try a smaller batch after a timeout.

Frequently asked questions

Are the final digits rounded?

No. A 20-digit π request returns 3.14159265358979323846. To request decimal positions 2–6, set start 2 and count 5; the output is 41592. Positions refer only to digits after the decimal point.

Are my numbers uploaded?

No. File reading and calculation happen in this browser. Input is not stored in the URL or sent to a calculation service. Text files must be UTF-8.
