How it works
Cardinal words describe quantity, such as forty-two; ordinal words describe position, such as forty-second. Languages group large numbers differently: English billion is 10⁹, while Chinese, Japanese and Korean also use groups of four digits.
What you can do
Choose cardinal, positive ordinal or currency wording. Each nonempty line is converted separately. English reverse conversion accepts short-scale cardinal integers and checks the complete phrase by spelling the result again.
How to use it
- Select a language and conversion. Paste one value per line, using a dot for decimals. For reverse conversion select English and enter, for example, nine thousand one.
- Run the conversion, review the words, then copy or download. Editing any input clears the old result; undo and result reuse let you recover earlier input.
Errors and limits
Up to 100 nonempty lines, 60 digits per numeric value and 10,000 input units; individual language/form limits may be lower. No grouping separators or scientific notation. Currency rejects excess decimal places instead of silently rounding; JPY/KRW use whole units. This is wording assistance, not bank-specific cheque preparation.
Frequently asked questions
Will large integers be rounded?
Numeric strings and BigInt preserve the entered digits, including 9007199254740993. Unsupported ranges produce an error. Reverse conversion covers complete English cardinal integers, not prose, ordinals or currency phrases.
