Tab-aware grid
Paste from spreadsheets and inspect each tab-delimited field.
Basics
TSV is a plain-text table format in which tab characters separate fields and line breaks separate records.
Tabs reduce the need to quote values containing commas, but embedded tabs, newlines, and quotes still need correct escaping.
What it does
The TSV workspace uses the same reliable table engine as the CSV editor with tab-safe defaults, direct cell editing, diagnostics, cleanup, and export.
Paste from spreadsheets and inspect each tab-delimited field.
Locate uneven records, missing cells, and ambiguous headers.
Sort, filter, trim, fill, truncate, transpose, and edit cells.
Download UTF-8 TSV with explicit line-ending control.
How to use
Paste tab-separated text, open a .tsv file, or load the sample.
The tab delimiter is selected by default; review row and column counts.
Edit the grid or run focused cleanup actions, with one-step Undo.
Copy or download the normalized TSV and test it in the destination application.
Errors & limits
Columns that look aligned may contain spaces and parse as a single field.
Rows ending early are reported so they can be filled deliberately.
Values containing tabs must be quoted to remain one field.
A visually aligned text file is not necessarily TSV. Confirm that real tab characters separate fields, and review applications that replace tabs with spaces.
FAQ
They use the same table model but CSV normally uses commas while TSV uses tab characters.
